If you're here, you probably already know what makes Centipede Press special. For over two decades, Jerad Walters and his team have been creating some of the most beautiful, meticulously crafted limited editions in speculative fiction. From the haunting weird tales of Lovecraft and Blackwood to the mind-bending science fiction of Philip K. Dick and Frank Herbert, Centipede Press transforms beloved classics and forgotten gems into collector's treasures.
This calendar exists because, like many of you, I found myself constantly checking newsletters, social media, and forums trying to keep track of what's coming next. With Jerad maintaining a roadmap of roughly 200 projects at any given time (some announced years in advance), it can be challenging to stay on top of release dates, prices, and which titles are actually shipping. So I built this site to consolidate everything in one place, making it easier for fellow collectors to plan ahead and anticipate the next addition to their shelves.
Here's how it works: I track announced and discovered titles from various sources: newsletters, social media posts, interviews, and the occasional catalog discovery. Once a book is released and shipping, it gets removed from the "upcoming" sections. Wherever possible, I include links to Centipede's official pages (when available), along with projected prices, dimensions, page counts, and release dates. Everything is updated regularly as new information becomes available.
If you've been collecting Centipede Press books for any length of time, you know that patience isn't just a virtue, it's a requirement. Some projects have remarkable timelines. Masters of the Weird Tale - Charles Grant was first shown in the 2011/2012 catalog but didn't ship until Summer 2023, over a decade later. Alice in Wonderland from that same catalog finally arrived in September 2024. And Masters of the Weird Tale - John Metcalfe took about 14 years from when S. T. Joshi submitted the manuscript to when it finally saw print.
The point is: if something was announced years ago and you haven't heard about it in a while, don't assume it's dead. With 200 projects in the pipeline, priorities shift, rights negotiations happen, and sometimes the stars just need to align. That book you've been waiting for might be next year's surprise release.
All release dates here are best-guess estimates based on newsletters, social media hints, and historical patterns. They're not promises, they're educated guesses. Any project can be delayed, de-prioritized, or canceled at Centipede Press's discretion. Similarly, prices are projected based on historical trends and newsletter guidance, but final pricing can change significantly as a book approaches release. When in doubt, the official Centipede Press website is the definitive source.
This calendar is a labor of love, maintained by a fellow collector who wants to make the waiting game a little easier for everyone. If you spot an error or have information about an upcoming release, feel free to reach out. And remember, the best part of collecting Centipede Press books isn't just the books themselves, but the community of readers and collectors who share this passion for beautifully made editions of the stories we love.
Speaking of community, if you're not already part of it, there's an active Centipede Press Collectors group on Facebook where fellow enthusiasts share news, discuss releases, show off their collections, and help each other track down those elusive titles. It's a great place to connect with other collectors and stay in the loop about what's happening in the Centipede Press world.
Happy collecting, and may your most anticipated titles ship sooner rather than later.
Note: Wherever publishing month is unclear the book is marked to be released in December. Date will be updated as more information becomes available.
